Meeting The One: Why Romantic Idealism Belies the Realities of a Successful Married Life
Halal Dinner Club becomes Halal Dessert Club for One Night! We are proud to present an evening of relaxation, networking and discussion on the 3rd of February (6:30pm - 9:00pm) at the aptly named Heavenly Desserts in Marylebone.
We are giving attendees the option to select a dessert (please select via the options within the website) and you can choose your drink at the venue. We are very excited to have Imam Monawar Hussain, talk about ‘Meeting the One: Why Romantic Idealism Belies the Realities of a Successful Married Life’.
Imam Monawar read Theology at the University of Oxford, majoring in Islam and the West. He trained as an Imam under the tutelage of the late Sheikh Dr Zaki Badawi KBE. Imam Monawar is the Imam at Eton College, and founded The Oxford Foundation, a charity that promotes religious and racial harmony through (mainly) educational and arts-based programmes. We hope you can join us for an evening of discussion, desserts and possibly a debate! Share with your friends and colleagues, as we hope to create more opportunities and safe spaces for Muslims to discuss issues that affect our communities over great food and drink.
Early Bird offer until the 20th of Jan (£17) for a dessert and drink. £21 thereafter. Please choose a dessert from the options provided. Important Notes: • Refunds will only be given if the event is cancelled. • If you have any allergies, please speak to the cafe team in the event area upstairs when you arrive at the venue.
